What Parents Can Do About Drugs
Our second Parent and Family Resource Engagement Program
of the 2020-2021 school year will be held
virtually on November 19, 2020 and will focus on understanding the stages of change as it relates to adolescent use of controlled or illicit substances. The projected outcome will be that parents will have a greater understanding of why their child has difficulty stopping the use of controlled or illicit substances, and to give parents concrete steps on how to support their child through the stages of change to promote recovery. The presentation will conclude with ample time for participant questions. Parents and attendees are encouraged to reach out to district Prevention Liaison, Mr. Mark Pardue, MSW, LSW by phone or email
if they have further questions or feel they need additional support.
Please note, given the format of the presentation, oral translation services will not be available. ASL interpretation will be provided. The event will also be recorded.
