Our mission is to provide confidential food assistance over weekends & school breaks to
Belzer students & their families.
WHAT’S IN THE BAG?
Our pantry is run solely through donations so the food items often change week to week. Our intention is to send home nutritious and filling meal options as well as breakfast items & snacks. This usually includes canned meat or fish, pasta, microwavable foods, fruits, vegetables, soup, side items, cereal, granola bars, oatmeal…
*PLEASE NOTE: if you have a baby or toddler at home we DO often have baby food, toddler snacks and formula. Please let us know if this is a need that you have!
HOW IT WORKS:
Your child will receive a CONFIDENTIAL hall pass during class on Friday afternoons to visit the food pantry (this is in an unmarked classroom) with their back pack. We will fill their bag with as much food as possible to bring home for the weekend or break!
NEW THIS YEAR:
we will have a Friday “drive up” pantry available. If this option is more convenient for you than sending a bag home with your child, please let us know ahead of time & we will bring your food bag out to your vehicle. This will be available at door #14 (main athletic entrance) on Friday afternoons from 12:30-3:00pm. Please contact Mrs. Patterson’s office to arrange a pick up.
We understand that some families may have larger family sizes & specific dietary needs. We will do our best to fulfill those needs to the best of our abilities.
Please contact Mrs. Patterson at 317-964-6297 if you have any questions, specific needs, or to arrange a pick up.
The Belzer Food Pantry is in need of the items listed below to stock its shelves.
