High Ability Program

High Ability at the middle school level is called STRETCH 7-8. Students must meet the criteria established and be selected for this program.   These students are identified in the spring of their 6th grade year. The curriculum and program components for Language Arts, Science and Social Studies are in line with the national exemplary standards for high ability students.   In addition, students may test into Algebra in seventh grade and Geometry in eighth grade which are both high school credit courses.  Biology Honors is offered for high school credit in eighth grade as well.
